The Latest Injection Moulding Technology in the New HASCO Technical Centre
The new HASCO injection moulding technical centre, equipped with the most up-to-date machine technology in spacious surroundings, provides ideal conditions to test and develop mould tools and polymers.
The technical centre has now been integrated into the production hall at the main factory in Lüdenscheid as part of the move to focus on the core business areas of mould base technology for mould assemblies, accessories and special processing, as well as the field of hot runner technology. The close proximity of the centre and its new technology mean that cooperation with all specialist departments takes place quickly and efficiently.
One new arrival, an Arburg 470 alldrive injection moulding machine, is proving to be a real highlight. With its fully electric drive, it fulfils the highest demands of the injection moulding industry. This new type of machine stands out due to its rapid motion sequences, precise metering and great energy efficiency. The machine has a tie bar distance of 470 x 470mm and clamping force of up to 100 ton.The Boy 55 A allows for the production of microparts, which are employed particularly in the fields of medical technology and the electrical and switching industries.
Innovative hot runner solutions are developed and tested in the new technical centre, while customer moulds are also sampled and analysed to realise potential for improvement. Additionally, training sessions and seminars for both staff and clients take place there on a regular basis.
Engineer Torsten Pühl, Director of Research and Development, Hot Runner Division, explains that “Individual applications, examinations and tests can be carried out in close cooperation between clients and HASCO hot runner specialists."
