New investment in HASCO’s pilot plant

HASCO’s pilot plant provides optimum conditions for developing individual applications, sampling and testing in close contact with the customer.

The latest new addition to HASCO’s machinery is a real highlight – a 50-ton Engel tie-bar-less injection moulding machine, especially for long-term tests with small moulds and low shot volumes. This modern new hybrid machine, which has a hydraulic clamping unit for core puller applications, high-precision servo-electric injection unit and CC200 control unit, is noted for its particularly high energy efficiency. It is planned to carry out compression trials especially for the hot runner sector.

Another important machine in the pilot plant is an Arburg 470 alldrive, which is capable of meeting the very highest demands of the injection moulding industry. Rapid motion sequences and precise metering can be reliably carried out with this all-electric machine. Moulds of up to 470 mm and a clamping force of max. 100t can be tested with the Arburg, which is used predominantly in the packaging sector.

HASCO’s pilot plant provides state-of-the-art conditions for materials testing, mould optimisation, and the sampling of new moulding tools. It is also frequently used for training courses and seminars for HASCO customers and employees.
