Machined square plates, P 1100/... now also available in special dimensions.

Zoom picture

Standardised, undrilled, all-sides machined plates have always been used successfully in the mouldmaking industry. They can be used optimally in injection moulds, die casting dies, cutting and punching tools, fixtures and machine construction.
HASCO as internationally operating supplier of standard components has extended its P-plates range with the design variant P 1100/... . Both the steel qualities and the dimensions are identical with the proven P-programme.
The difference is in the greater machining allowance of the plate thickness (+0.5/+0.7 mm or +0.7/+0.9 mm), depending on the plate size. The plane surfaces are segment ground, the outer edges finished milled.
This development is the result of extensive research and meets market demands for a low-cost plate with more stock for machining.
This ensures that the thickness nominal dimensions can still be maintained even after fine machining. The new P 1100 programme is available at short notice.

HASCO Diverting Element Z 9641/...

Zoom picture

Cooling circuits in injection moulds are produced predominantly by channels and slots in cavity plates, sliding elements and inserts. The layout of these cooling channels, which should follow the moulding contour at the same distance, can now be produced more easily with the new diverting element from HASCO.
The diverting element in heat resistant elastomer (Viton) is a standard component in two sizes for 6 and 8 mm holes. For moulds with several assembled inserts the cost of connecting to the cooling system in the mould is considerably reduced. The component combines flowing, diverting and sealing in a standard part and is characterised by a very simple and cost-saving mounting.

The elongated hole on one side offers flexible space for cooling holes and ideal conditions for the acceptance of oval outlets for inclined holes. Due to the short flow paths, pressure drop and flow losses are minimal. A cut-out across the channel can be used to hold a plug baffle. The application of this diverting element, especially for mould modifications, provides an opportunity to develop space-saving solutions in the ejector area.

HASCO split mould kits , K 2500/...; K 2501/...

Zoom picture

A striking feature of this split mould series from HASCO is the one-level modular system. The K 2500 ejector type and K 2501 stripper type split moulds are each available in eight basic sizes, matching exactly with the standard mould dimensions of the HASCO K-programme.
They replace the K 2000 and K 2010 types and offer considerable advantages: Dependent on the moulding geometry each of the 5 split heights, graded according to size, can be supplied in 1.2085 and 1.2767 materials.

This design permits the greatest possible use of the working surface with optimum split mould opening, even when functional components and split mould operation are incorporated within the tool dimensions. The split mould kits can be used without restriction of shape and hardening and provide a generous opening secured by ball catches for the free fall of the moudings.
The operator’s experience determines details that are constructively integrated into the easily adjustable dovetail guides, the self-lubricating split mould guide strips and guide bushings and the minor compensation for possible hardness distortion of important components.

Removable, hardened wear plates are provided to coordinate the splits and chase bolster. Keys ensure good seating between the splits and guides. For the manufacture of hollow items or mouldings with internal threads the supplied core retainer insert can be used to position several inserts along the length of the split. Mould sizes for HASCO split mould kits are between 100 x 130 mm and 296 x 296 mm, the split heights between 16 and 68 mm and are adapted to the respective mould size.

HASCO bolster plate with pocket KR 25/...

Zoom picture

Rationalisation and cost reduction are achieved more easily with the new KR 25/... bolster plate from HASCO. This type of bolster plate is supplied with finished machined pockets for the mounting of cavity inserts. There are eleven standard sizes from 246 x 246 mm to 396 x 496 mm, six different thicknesses and three steel qualities. KR 25/... bolster plates match with the K-programme, and supplement tool construction.

The pocket size is selected in such a way that HASCO P-plates can be used as cavity inserts. The outside dimensions of P-plates offer a comfortable machining allowance. The pockets are machined to close tolerances. Small corner radii (R 10) on the pocket ground (R 3) make release of the insert edges easier. The reaming sizes are adapted to the corresponding insert size and can also be individually reworked if necessary.

Example:
Frame insert KR 25/346 x 346 x 86/..*
*= Stainless steel 1.2085, tempered steel 1.2312 or tool steel 1.1730.
Pocket size 245 x 245 x 45,8 mm
Standard plate P 246 246/46/2767 suitable as cavity insert.
