Compact Shot nozzle series are their minimum outside dimensions
combined with a big variety of different nozzle lengths. Due to the
slim design, gating points can be positioned at difficult to reach areas
of the mould, for example close to cores or internally gated components.

The Z3210/… Compact Shot is extremely suitable for multi-cavity
applications in the medical and packaging sectors, where close
cavity-to-cavity distances are required. With slight modifications to the
head area, centre-to-centre distances of 14 mm are possible. Despite
the compact design, thermocouple, heater and nozzle tips of the Compact
Shot can be changed very easily.

The Z3210/… Compact Shot is offered in two different design versions.
In the classic version the nozzles are fixed by means of a nozzle retaining
plate in front of the manifold. Here the cable ducts are machined in the
back of the nozzle retaining plate.

Alternatively, a special flanged nozzle can be fixed to the front of the
nozzle plate, with the thermocouple and heater cables at the front also.
After latching over the cavity plate each nozzle can be removed and
dismantled separately while the mould stays on the Injection Moulding
machine. This technology reduces down time, making maintenance and
servicing much easier.
