The HASCO thermal insulating sheet Z1215/... for optimum external insulation of moulds
The proven HASCO thermal insulating sheets Z1215/... for external insulation prevent the heat from escaping from heated injection and compression moulds. They have been specially developed for moulds that are subject to a high level of thermal stress.
Moulds can be fully insulated up to 230°C using this thermal insulating sheet, which is made of high-temperature plastic. The sheets are placed against the sides of the mould, with their honeycomb structure forming insulating air chambers, ensuring considerable energy savings both during the heating phase and throughout the injection moulding process. Thermal equilibrium is rapidly achieved in the mould, permitting maximum process reliability and shorter cycle times.
The proven thermal insulating sheets are available in a large number of dimensions and can also be supplied in customised sizes. The Z1215... sheets display very good resistance to release and cleaning agents. For a simple screw connection, we recommend using HASCO countersunk screws Z330/... External insulation of the mould with "inside hot - outside cold" also has a number of advantages for the operator in respect to occupational safety. Safe handling is possible, since there is less risk of injury through burns.
