Daventry UK – As part of a comprehensive investment programme and the implementation of the SAP enterprise software across its global operations, HASCO UK has this year relocated its warehousing to the company's central storage operation in Lüdenscheid/Germany. It is thus benefiting from the company's optimum global logistic network and the high product availability in the sector's biggest high-bay warehouse.
"Centralising stock improves business efficiency and also increases product availability for the customers in our region", explains Managing Director, Neil Moseley. HASCO currently has a product portfolio with more than 100,000 individual parts, and this number is growing continually as product ranges are extended and new products are introduced. Achieving reliable and punctual delivery to meet customers' demands requires optimum stock. This strategic change creates around 30 times more product availability than previously accomplished.
Via HASCO’s logistics partners, delivery is next day for parts up to 30 kg and just 2 to 3 days for pallet delivery of heavier items. "Standard delivery is free of charge and HASCO also offers a competitively priced express service that uses ‘fast track’ air freight through customs and security to expedite delivery," Neil Moseley says.
The enterprise-wide SAP software is set to benefit customers. "The HASCO staff in charge have direct SAP access, so they have a ‘live’ overview of the stock levels and availability of all products,” Neil Moseley states. "HASCO's new easy-to-use portal at www.hasco.com is also SAP-supported and offers customers an optimised quotation process and order handling."Available seven days a week, HASCO ensures an ultra-fast response to customer enquiries, a full purchase history with clear prices for all HASCO products, as well as direct import of parts lists and a comprehensive CAD data service. To make sure that customers can find the relevant configurations and prices even more rapidly and conveniently - it provides a mouldmaking assistant that can be operated with just a few clicks.
As of the start of October 2016, HASCO UK will be operating from the impressive iCon Environmental Innovation Centre in Daventry. Designed as a beacon for environmental innovation in the UK, the building is focused on green technologies and sustainable construction.
HASCO is basing its UK sales and technical support services for Great Britain in this award-winning building, which not only includes a range of meeting rooms but also a conference centre with exhibition space and onsite catering facilities.
