Girls’ Day at HASCO - Girls enthralled by engineering

Six young ladies were able to experience Girls’ Day 2017 live at HASCO. A delightful opportunity to take a look at the day-to-day work of precision machinists and machine/plant operators.

True to the HASCO brand value of “agility”, the girls were able to get going straightaway after being briefed in the training workshop by their HASCO hosts. They were able to participate directly in the manufacture of a pin holder. This is in line with the HASCO training concept known as SEED (the German acronym for Independent, Responsible, Results-oriented and Thinking). Practical experience, or learning by doing, features at the forefront here.

The result obtained at the end of the day was something they could be proud of. In parallel, they were shown the complete manufacturing process for a plastic product, from the idea right through to sampling. This also gave them insight into the complex professional occupations involved in the process.

Girls’ Day at HASCO showed that fascination with technical matters is not just restricted to men. In the training workshop, the girls demonstrated both their skills and their dexterity. At the end of the day, they were delighted by what they had experienced. Perhaps they will opt to train with HASCO in future. In this training, which lasts 2 or 3½ years, they would be involved in actual work processes right from the start. These take in aspects such as designing, programming, coordinating, monitoring and working under one’s own responsibility.

At HASCO, more than 700 employees worldwide are engaged in ensuring that mouldmaking is made easy – through innovativeness, agility, simplicity and performance. These corporate values also apply to the field of training too. HASCO offers training with system.
