HASCO Designer Days enable innovative digital solutions
Digital solutions in the context of Industry 4.0 are becoming increasingly important for mould makers. True to its brand values of innovativeness, agility, simplicity and performance, HASCO acknowledges the responsibility it holds in this respect and is responding to digital development issues in the appropriate manner. Over the past few years, this topic has repeatedly featured on the agenda at the HASCO Designer Days that are staged all over the world, also present during the event at the end of March 2017 in Lüdenscheid.
It was at the Designer Days, for instance, that the development of the HASCO portal took shape, in intensive discussions with mould makers and designers. And the results of this close cooperation are certainly impressive: www.hasco.com is one of the most modern and high-performance customer portals in the industry. True to the motto “developed with customers, for customers”, the portal has been designed specifically to ensure user-friendly handling.
HASCO customers worldwide can access the online shop and the company website with just a single click. All the information, innovations and services can be called up rapidly, simply and in a clear and comprehensive manner within one and the same system. Moulds can be calculated, configured and then ordered directly, around the clock, with just a few clicks. The new Mouldmaking Assistant simplifies and speeds up these processes. Designers benefit from the rapid download of CAD data via interfaces to more than 40 different data formats. And the practical export of parts lists is an advantage when it comes to costing and placing orders.
All these functions and options have been identified and formulated from the wishes and requirements put forward by designers at the Designer Days held around the world over the past few years. And, after the portal was switched live in spring 2016, the digital development process has continued in the framework of the HASCO Designer Days. In this way, HASCO is further optimising its portal and hence the service that it offers to its customers. Industry 4.0 is thus gradually becoming reality and, through a large number of features, is permitting more in-depth implementation of digitisation and hence simpler and more agile processes.
