As the inventor of modular standard components, HASCO has supported tool and mouldmaking for many decades with the simple and, at the same time, precise design and production of injection moulds. Through its consistent development work, the company constantly seeks new possibilities for improving processes and results. Against this background, the "Excellence in Production" competition fits in ideally with the HASCO strategy and its associated aims.
This year, the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT) presented the "Toolmaker of the Year" award for the 15th time in succession in the German-speaking world. More than 300 tool and mouldmaking companies entered the competition, which is divided into four categories – in-house tool and mouldmaking, fewer/more than 50 employees, external tool and mouldmaking – and 14 finalists were selected in the first round. In the final, the companies then compete for the title of "Toolmaker of the Year 2018" – a highly prestigious award in the industry.
The jury's evaluation focuses on the technological performance and organisational aspects of the companies throughout the order execution process. The members of the jury for the "Excellence in Production" competition include representatives from science and federal politics, as well as from the associations and the industry.
As a sponsor, HASCO supports this competition, which gives all participants the opportunity to engage in an intensive exchange of information and transfer of knowledge with representatives from the industry. Many of the participating companies are HASCO customers and rely on the standard parts and services supplied by HASCO.
The winners of the individual categories and the overall winner of the "Toolmaker of the Year 2018" award deserve the highest recognition. Congratulations from the HASCO Team!
